POEM # 1
When I Was Young
When I was young I thought you were fun. As I grew olderI realized you were much colder. When I let you into my fragile little heart. You crumbled it up and tore it apart. Now I am here and you are there. I don't know what you fear. All I know is that it isn't your beer! You tell me that you stopped. But you tell them another on the rocks! Now you are sick and so far away. I can't even hold your hand and tell you it's okay. You need to start being a father'Cause you know you don't have much longer!

A Cool Chic !
Some time ago I met this cool chick . The sister of a guy called Slick. A wheelchair I did not see but a beautiful girl watchin TV. She had a lovely smile that went on for miles. From that day on I knew that Cheri Kay would have to stay. She listens to me makin her time always free. Even if she really wants to flee. When tears would flow this chick could never go. Good times we had and they out number the bad. No matter how rough it got a tough chick we would see. When she moves away I will think of her every damn day. For know we will never truly part for she is in my heart!

Those are two really nice poems. Trica does a good job of writing what is in her heart. I feel sas for her Dad that he likes his beer better. You are lucky Cheri because she is a good friend too.
Yes you are so right Helen I'm very lucky to have Trista as a part of my life. she has been a very dear friend and(sister) of mine for many years now. I feel very blessed to have met her. I love her very much.
I feel sorry for her father as well Helen, because his choice not to allow Trista to share in his life has definitely been his loss! Maybe someday he will wake up and realize that!
For some reason Trista is having a hard time logging in. So She asked me to post the following:
(Trista said..) Helen thank you so much for the sweet words. I am also lucky to have Cheri in my life. There have been many times that she has been my guiding light.
Yes Helen my father is not a nice guy. I have a good mom though who has raised 3 kids by herself. On Father's Day she receives a card because she is the one that does all the work.
Thank God the we all have Mothers. You keep hanging in there Trica. The world is hard sometimes but if you keep trying it will get better.
