The Big Move !

The big move is fast approaching and I find myself very nervous. Dad says that it's only natural to feel this way with such a huge change, but I find my own feelings to be very confusing? I mean this is something I've wanted for close to oh I don't know? Forever! So I ask myself why all the nerves? I don't know very strange? All my emotions are all mixed up! Happy, Confused, A little bit scared All at the same time.

In fact most of my things are going up to the apartment today and tomorrow. But I won't go up myself until Monday afternoon.

To be? or Not to be? That is my Question.

Ok, so there I was this morning about 9:30 just going about my normal routine of the day, when the phone rings it's Michelle's receptionist Nancy her brother in-law is the one who works for the housing authority there in Lawrence county. Nancy says, "Cheri I have a number I would like you to call and a gentleman I think you should speak too." "His name is John Hit's. I said, "Who is John Hit's?" Nancy says, "John Hit's is the property Manager for the Skyview Towers Apartment Complex." Nancy says, "My Brother in- law was talking to him about you the other day. " "If you mention my Brother in-laws name and who you are he may be able to help you." So then of course I call him and mention who I am and Nancy's brother in-law. John says, "Oh yes I know who you are." I said, "I'm really interested in an apartment there at the Skyview Towers. "My application was approved but I'm sorry to say that I don't have my placement numbers for you." "I've been trying to retrieve them from the housing authority for the last couple of days." "But I haven't had much success." " Do you think you might be able to help me?" John says, "Yeah I think I may be able to help you". "Don't worry about the numbers." "I think I may have an apartment available for you." "Call me back on Wednesday and I'll let you know then". I said, "Wow really you'll know by Wednesday really?" John said, "Yeah Wednesday." So we'll see what happens I suppose.

Now I think I've heard everything!

Orlando Police Sgt. Barbara Jones holds a surface-to-air missile launcher that had been turned in to the Orlando Police Kicks for Guns 2007 program on Friday. Citizens can turn in a gun with no questions asked and receive a pair of sneakers.



The shoulder-fired weapon showed about 6 p.m. when an Ocoee man drove to the Florida Citrus Bowl to trade the 4-foot-long missile launcher for size-3 Reebok sneakers for his daughter.

"I didn't know what to do with it, so I brought it here," explained the man, who said he found the missile in a shed he tore down last week. "I took it to three dumps to try to get rid of it, and they told me to get lost."


Ok so my question remains, How did a 4 foot missile launcher get in the shed in the first place? Like I said, Now I've heard everything!!!

Always Fighting Life's Current to Make it up Stream!

I try very hard to do my best to be a positive kind of person, to always try and believe that in the end if you trust and have faith things will work out for the best. I ask you in advance to forgive me for my forth coming rant. But with the day that I've had I find that I'm not feeling very positive!!! Moriarty Agency called me this morning asking me if I had heard from (TRCIL) short for The Three Rivers Council for Independent Living. Who is suppose to be helping me switch over to Moriarty from the (CCC) My current agency. Apparently there has been some sort of paperwork problem with the switching of waivers. Which needs to be done before Moriarty can take over my case. The wavier switch is necessary so that my budget can be approved for my hours that I will need, as well as any future equipment that I may require. Not to mention the whole apartment deal. Anyway what really bothers me is that the Moriarty Agency and (TRCIL) Agencies are suppose to be working with each other to help me iron things out with the switch. They are suppose to call me!!!! with answers and details? Not call me and ask when is your start date with our agency? What's going on with that? Is your housing application through yet? Have you heard anything about it? Auh Hello people you told me last time we spoke at the filming of the commercial that you had people to handle that? All that I was suppose to do was fill the application out and mail it in and then you would get your people on it!!!! I don't know what's going on with my application approvel or the approved budget paperwork problems??? But then again I'm not suppose to am I???? I swear some times it feels as though I'm always having to fight the current just to make it up stream!!!! Will I ever catch a break I ask you?

With all the Eve Dallas Mysteries casting we've been doing we can't forget about another very inportant character in the series! As my good friend Helen reminded me about in an earlier post. A prayer for young Hercules!

I need to ask you all to say a prayer for Hercules, the youngest of our puppies he seems to have developed an infection in his neck we think? We aren't sure how serious it is or if there is anything will be able to be done for him. Dad is taking him to the vet a little later on this afternoon. So I suppose we'll know more about his condition then. It just breaks my heart that he's so sick, because I have to admit that he has always been my favorite little pup! But whatever happens I just don't want him to have to suffer!

My Housing Applicatin is in!

Well my housing application is in as of last week. So now all I can do is wait and see what happens with it. The picture above is just a bit of hopeful wishful thinking on my part! We'll see? Tomorrow we shoot the commercial very very nervous!!!

Cheri the TV Star ?

Hi guys seems as though quite a unique opportunity has floated my way in recent days, seems as though I'm about to become a television star. Well sort of? That new Agency I'm switching over to in August is doing a television commercial to get the word out about the agency and what they can do. They've asked me to participate I was husitant about it at first, but then I figured why not do it? It could be fun after all we only live once. Right? So keep your eyes peeled for Cheri the tv star coming to a television set near you very soon! Autographs will be first come first serve the line forms at the dooor to the left! (Ha Ha!) Just Kidding! Wish me luck guys!! I'll let you know when it 's suppose to air as soon as I know. We tape this Monday at the Towers Apartment complex.

The New Harry Potter Movie was Excellent!

Trista my brother Tom and I spent the day together we went to lunch at Subway and then it was off to see the latest Harry Potter movie. We all loved it! In my humble opinion it was the best one so far in the series. Has anyone else seen it yet? If you have I'd love to know your opinion of it. So please feel free to share any of your thoughts on the movie, or any speculations you may have about how the series of movies and or book may conclude. As we inch ever so much closer to the end of the series I myself am finding it more and more impossible not to speculate!

Unemployed?

Well at least for the time being my dad has joined the ranks of the unemployed. With most of all state employees being laid off due to budget cuts, with a few minor exceptions. Dad hopes that it won't last that long. But no one really knows for certain? He is prepared to sign up for unemployment tomorrow if need be. We'll see I guess? Craziness man!

Life's Lessons

Now it seems as though it's my turn to post something serious. At around 2:30 this afternoon my family and I received word from a family friend that a friend of theirs has lost both her parents and her uncle was seriously injured and most likely will lose his leg due to a multiple motorcycle accident that occurred this afternoon. Apparently there were a group of them riding along when a man in a pickup truck hauling a boat lost control and the trailer came unhitched and crossed both lanes striking all 3 of the lead motorcycles. The first two motorcycles carried the girls parents they died instantly the 3rd motorcycle carried her uncle. although I don't really know this young girl personally, I have only met her and her husband once before at a wedding I attended a few months back. I still can't help but feel a bond of sorts with this girl given my own situation. So why am I writing you may ask? Well I am just struck once again by how short the time that we are given here on this planet really is. All I'm really asking is that you just take one minute out your day today to let those that are closest to you know much they mean to you and how much you care, because as the saying goes we really can be here today and gone tomorrow!!! So that said my love to you all!! God Bless and stay safe !!

And the hits just keep on coming, at about 8:00pm this evening came word from my grandmother that my dad's eldest brother Jim's wife Sherrie has suffered a massive stroke the long term prospect for her recovery is not good at all. Please say a prayer for my aunt if you could thanks.

A little older, A little wiser?

Today believe it or not I am 36 years young. (Ha Ha Ha!) 35 was quite an up and down kind of year. I do have to say I learned a lot and hopefully I'm a little wiser for it. The end of my 35th year left me wide open for some new and exciting possibilities for the future. The most percious gifts to me are the people in my life. Both family and friends, So I just thought that I would just take a minute to express how much you all mean to me and say thanks for being a part of my life! Love to all!

The Real Ceasar

This is an actual picture of my little bunk mate of the last two weeks Ceasar. He goes home tomorrow boo hoo!!! He will be soarly missed! What a cutie man! Don't you all agree?

Bunk Mate!

For about the last two weeks now I have been sharing my room with my newest little buddy. A nine month old Yorkshire Terrier named Caesar! We are currently house sitting him while his mom, My dad's friend Patty went away to visit family. He will be returning home to her this Saturday evening. But I have to say that despite my best efforts, I sure have gotten attached to the little guy. I will miss him terribly when he returns home. Ok confession time the picture above isn't really him he is much much cuter!! But given that I don't actually have one of the big guy himself as of yet this one that I found on the web is the closest I was able to come for now! I have never really been a huge fan of the smaller dog, but Caesar has definitely made me rethink my opinion on that subject for sure!

I've had a lot of things happen to me in the last few days. The most important of which is that I've decided to switch agencies. Along with this new agency comes the possibility of many more opportunities for myself and my future. I had another meeting with Michelle from the new agency today and tomorrow I am calling Michelle to setup an appointment for next Friday to go and look at the apartment complex they have setup in New Castle for the disabled. I'm very excited right now! With that apartment could come a job and my own van? There's still a lot to be done of course, but we'll see what happens after next Friday. So wish me luck please!!!

Much audo about nothing!!!

Forgive me for my forthcoming rant but I have been a huge fan of this show for many years, and it has been well known for it's jaw dropping surprises not to mention plenty of action to keep you on the edge of your seat. Now one would be led to believe given that last nights episode was there grand finale of the show that they would pull out all the stops right? Well not even close man!!! It had to be the most boring episode ever! I mean nothing happened worth noting at all! The ending had to be the most ridiculous ever!! Certainly not Sopranos worthy at all man!! What a let down!! Especially when you consider the two prior episodes were great! Heck man they should have ended it with last week's episode!! Huge disappointment!! Tony should have been embarrssed I know I was!

Pirates Of The Caribbean 3

Saw it yesterday and loved it! It was a bit long however that didn't really bother me as I was way to into the movie to really care. But if you find it difficult to sit for long periods of time this one may not be for you? A must see in my opinion though!!! Anyone else have any thoughts or opinions? I would love to hear them.

Over the Hedge

Last night I was a little under the weather so I layed down and watched Over the Hedge on HBO and I loved it! So adorable. Has anyone else see it? If so what did you think of it? If not I highly recommend it!

The Winner Is?

Apollo and Julianne. They were my favorite couple. so I was glad that they won. Dancing with the Stars was really awesome this season. I had watched season 2, but then for whatever reason I had lost interest in it and I stooped watching. Trista and her mom had been watching though and by the second half of the season had encouraged me to start watching again because the dancing was really good. Boy were they right it was great! Joey and Kim did a great job as well. I was a bit surprised that Apollo and Julianne had won it! I was convinced that Joey and Kym had it won! Anybody else watch last night?

First movie of the summer season, Shrek the Third.

I must admit I've always been a huge fan of the Shrek movies, so given that I suppose that it's possible that I went into it expecting a little to much from this 3rd installment. But honestly I just didn't find this one to be as enjoyable as the previous 2 movies. It did have some humorous parts in it, but all and all in my humble opinion it's one that you can wait until it comes out on video to see it. Not really a must see! But as always just my opinion!! As always interested in your thoughts as well. So please feel free to share if you've had the chance to see it.

Last night Trista and I took Brooke to see Spiderman 3. I personally loved it. I thought it was the best one of them all. If you get a chance to check it out let me know what you think?

Magneto Returns!

Most of us are aware of the planned X-Men spin off featuring the character of wolverine, well now comes word that they are going to make a second spin off movie featuring the character of Magneto. One of my personal favorites! This movie is suppose to focus on the relationship between Magneto and Xavier and how they met. As well as Magneto's need for revenge against chose who killed his parents. Magneto and and Xavier will most likely be played by two different actors for most of this movie due to the fact that this movie focuses on them in their younger years. Even with the possibility of different actors playing the parts this movie still intrigues me.

To Trust or Not to Trust? That is my Question?

Do to some recent events I am left wondering if there really is such a thing as good help? Needless to say Nicole Buzzelli is no longer in my employ. She turned out to be a very unreliable person to put it mildly? When all was said and done she abandon me in the home of a complete stranger for two days never to be seen or heard from again! After asking me to spend the weekend with her. I didn't make it back home until last evening. The man who's home I was in (Leeroy) was very kind and helpful to me, for that I will be forever greatful. But still as to the question of reliable help? Is it really out there? I now have my doubts?

When I Was Young



When I was young I thought you were fun. As I grew olderI realized you were much colder. When I let you into my fragile little heart. You crumbled it up and tore it apart. Now I am here and you are there. I don't know what you fear. All I know is that it isn't your beer! You tell me that you stopped. But you tell them another on the rocks! Now you are sick and so far away. I can't even hold your hand and tell you it's okay. You need to start being a father'Cause you know you don't have much longer!

A Cool Chic !


Some time ago I met this cool chick . The sister of a guy called Slick. A wheelchair I did not see but a beautiful girl watchin TV. She had a lovely smile that went on for miles. From that day on I knew that Cheri Kay would have to stay. She listens to me makin her time always free. Even if she really wants to flee. When tears would flow this chick could never go. Good times we had and they out number the bad. No matter how rough it got a tough chick we would see. When she moves away I will think of her every damn day. For know we will never truly part for she is in my heart!

What happened to Spring man?

What is going on with this weather man? I thought we were done with all the white stuff man! Come back spring come back!! Sorry I know I've been out of touch a bit lately I've just had a little bit of difficulty finding things to blog about lately that's all. But I'm still here.

One can only ask why?????????????

I read a story online the other day that left me asking only one question, Why? It was about a woman attempting to cross the Egyptian border with 3 yes I said 3 crocodiles strapped to her body!!! and hidden under her clothes!!! She was trying to get them to the Egyptian zoo for the money. She was caught of course and crocodiles were taken into custody. Man just goes to prove some people will do almost anything for money man craziness!!!!

Paperwork Headache!

I'm getting a major headache! From all my paperwork complications man!! What am I talking about you ask? Well, I hired my new attendant Nicole last week sort of? She isn't allowed to start working until all the paperwork clears. I had to submit a second set today because the first set had a drivers license number placed on a wrong line. I mean really one line off does that really have to matter in the grand scheme of things? I ask you? What a pain in the butt man!! Keep your finger crossed for me the the second set meets with approval! I need all the help I can get I'm getting desperate here man!!!

Critics Corner!

Last night my friend Trista and I had a double feature night at the movies, a few other friends were supposed to join us but had to cancel do to illness. They were greatly missed! However I hope they are feeling better!

First up Premonition! This one was quite a wild ride from the opening sequence! You really have to pay attention to what's going on to keep up with it. Still very enjoyable! Although the ending let me down a bit I must admit, upon some refelction maybe I had just expected a little to much from it! I'd still recommend it highly!

Last up! 300 in 3D! This one depends on ones individual taste I suppose! Trista didn't really care for it. I however loved the whole thing! Awesome! The 3D just added to it in my opinion! Great movie! Definitely a must see IMHO!

300 in 3D!

Tomorrow evening it's off to Pittsburgh Mills to see 300 in 3D with a few friends. I'm really looking forward to it. I hope it's good.
